In Sicily, the bakery is often identified with the name “u furnu” (the oven) even more so here where one of the last wood ovens remains and where it is still one of the first activities to begin the morning. In small town Sicily the bakery is often not just a place to purchase bread, but is also the place to go to get the “freshest news of the day.” It can also be a place to bake a dish prepared at home; and it is here in this familiar and village-scale environment, where we spend a few hours, helping the local families, to prepare pizza that will become our lunch at a table specially set in front of the street.

In 2002 Val di Kam was a young Start-Up that was beginning to take its first steps in the tourism sector, in one of the most unknown and authentic areas of Sicily, the Sicans. Since then a lot has changed, our proposals, the variety of our offer, our own awareness of living in a unique territory with great potential. And it is here that an "Experiential Guide", a "Local insider", "u canuscituri" comes into play. WHAT IS AN EXPERIENTAL GUIDE ... ??? He is a person who has lived and lives in a place that, over the years, has developed a knowledge of the people and of the place that possesses the keys necessary to open the doors of local hospitality to the traveler. A figure that leads the guest to live an experience together with the locals. A meeting designer; All trying to respect as much as possible, the life, dynamics and rhythms of the host community. A sort of storyteller, a story teller on the road.

Welcome to Sant’Angelo Muxaro

About 30 km from Agrigento, in the hinterland, on a lonely hill in the middle of the Platani river valley, a small village with an ancient history. We are in Sant’Angelo Muxaro. Here everything passes slowly and along the road to reach it, panoramic views of wide valleys, hills, peaks, mountains follow one another.
