In 2002 Val di Kam was a young Start-Up that was beginning to take its first steps in the tourism sector, in one of the most unknown and authentic areas of Sicily, the Sicans. Since then a lot has changed, our proposals, the variety of our offer, our own awareness of living in a unique territory with great potential. Today, according to industry experts, Val di Kam is a virtuous example that could be replicated, adapting it, in every village of Sicily and beyond. The definition of our services that we now call "experiences", whose list bears the title "Incontri Sicani", has changed over the years. Meetings, because, almost all the days spent in our company, culminate in meetings with the locals. A tourism made of relationships and meetings between host and hosted and that often result in experiences with the same, spending time together, preparing something, carrying out activities, talking about life, sharing time together. And it is here that an "Experiential Guide", a "Local insider", "u canuscituri" comes into play. WHAT IS AN EXPERIENTAL GUIDE ... ??? He is a person who has lived and lives in a place that, over the years, has developed a knowledge of the people and of the place that possesses the keys necessary to open the doors of local hospitality to the traveler. A figure that leads the guest to live an experience together with the locals. A meeting designer; All trying to respect as much as possible, the life, dynamics and rhythms of the host community. A sort of storyteller, a story teller on the road.

Welcome to Sant’Angelo Muxaro

About 30 km from Agrigento, in the hinterland, on a lonely hill in the middle of the Platani river valley, a small village with an ancient history. We are in Sant’Angelo Muxaro. Here everything passes slowly and along the road to reach it, panoramic views of wide valleys, hills, peaks, mountains follow one another. The river itself flows slowly, the flocks, the people walking in the streets or playing cards at the bar, proceed slowly as if they are afraid to move away from a past that is still too present.
